SANTA HELENA FARM

Location: Bragança Paulista, São Paulo - Brazil

Year: 2006 - 2009

Architecture: Maureen Bogaard

This project had a challenge to create an exuberant garden with enormous proportions inside an orange farm.

Orchad, vegetable garden, greenhouse, boulevards and pergolas designed to shelter the owner family, transplant of huge trees and many species were needed to be planted to change the farm and mix the agriculture with forests and gardens originating in a natural and unpretentious effect.

Species like flamboyants, jabuticaba, lilies, and agapantus combined with some species found in tempered climate such as platanus and lavenders. Following the project, garden walls and stairs were built.
